Simple shortcuts

 

I created this because I want to show the next year 6 that come in here to do shortcuts I enjoyed creating and finding new ways my challenge that over came was when I did not no what to write.

Origami

We are learning to follow instruction so so what i found challenging was making it and following it but i overcame my challenge and i enjoyed it.

How to make a swan:

1) So first you got to have a  piece of paper that is shaped square.

2) You got to fold it half way then open it and it will look like a line in the middle.

3)When it’s flip over then You fold half of it over and fold it again but over and do the other side until it looks like a kite shape.

4)The pointy tip of the shape you put it down nearly to the end but make sure there's 4 cm space then the same pointy bit you pull a little bit of it up and it should look like a face up side down.

5)Then you flip it to the other side and it should look plain then you fold it so you can see the other side that you made then the pointy bit faces up and it should kind of look like a boat.

6)Then there should be a little bit and then you pull the head up and their you got a swan.

How to make a penguin:

1. So first you have to have a piece of paper and when you have your paper you have to fold it half and then take back to a diamond and then fold it over to the half so it look like a kite shape then you flip it over.

2)Next you when you flip it you it should look like kite but with no folding then you fold the top bit and then you have two sides that a pointy those two points sides fold them in ways but you gotta make sure that there is a space in the middle.

3)Then the bottom of the the kite shape you fold opposite the way you made it so it looks like spaceship after it looks like a spaceship the top of the spaceship you fold it twice.

4)Next you want to tuck it under the big bit then fold it so it looks like a penguin.

How to put a helmet on

I enjoyed creating this piece what I found challenging was putting this together but I overcame the challenge and i done this because i wanted to help the little kids.

(1)So first you got to put the helmet on and make sure it’s facing front words.

(2)Next you got to make sure to look at the side and tighten till it’s a y

(3)Next you clip your helmet and put two fingers under your chin.

(4)After you do that you make sure the helmet can’t come off.

persuade people

I chose this poster because i wanted to persuade someone to come to our breakfast club i enjoyed creating it and i found nothing challenging.

I chose this poster because i really wanted to create my own poster.I enjoyed creating this poster i found challenging was making it but i overcame my problem and kept on going.

Shared lunch

I chose this poster because we got a 90 dollar voucher from new world but the most thing i found challenging was when we had to speak into the voice typing because it will say different words but i overcame my challenge by writing it myself.

On Thursday our class went to the staff room. When we go to the staff room we first had to wash our hands. Then we sat down on the chair. After that he started calling out jobs and we started putting up our hands.

My group the smoothie group our  ingredients was milk,Weet-Bix,bananas,dates,Milo,Chia seeds and we used

a blender,then we had to get heaps of cups.When we were all finished.

We had this big shared lunch on the table with sandwiches pineapple with vegetables and they mix pineapple with cheese and we had kumara chips.When we finished we had to clean up our mess. After that we went back to class. When we got back we were playing.

Breakfast

Our task was to persuade other kids to come to our breakfast club because some of the kids starve themselves or say they don't want breakfast.what i learnt was that breakfast was the most important meal of the day.It was challenging because we had to use this talking thing.But i over came and never gave up and still carryed on.

Hi my name Nika and i am from Wesley primary And I think you should have breakfast because it helps your learning.It has carbohydrates and fiber.

If you don’t you won’t be  able to concentrate on school time and you will be more hungry and you will be angry and you won’t have better memory from yesterday you will only be able remember a little bit.

If you have breakfast you will have a better memory and concentrate more on your work and it only  takes 10 minutes  to cook you breakfast or you could grab  and  go  like an up and go or you could make a snack the night before from Your leftovers. But make sure you always have the special meal of the day because if you don’t you won't be able to focus on your school work.

Lions

I have chosen this poster because i love lions i found challenging was making rhymes what i really enjoyed was creating this masterpiece.

Lions can live up to 15-18 years

as young as a teenager

roar,roar,roar

but lions might eat a peacemaker.

Lions aren’t feisty but sometimes

can be vicious don’t be afraid just

go and say hey.

But make sure stay away and

be safe.That’s me hey.

My word i chose

I have chosen this post because i learn more words.We had to draw a word from our list and we had to decorate it.I enjoyed decorating it and coloring it.I found hard was finding out what it means.I competed the challenge by getting help from people.

Tongan language week

Why i chose it because it was Tongan language week and our job was to make a slide or doc or drawings
but i chose to do it on slides.I enjoyed creating this and making it and learning new things.I found challenging was saying the words and trying to figure out what it means.

Sanitarium: Eat your words!

Today Room 3 cooked in the hall with the sanitarium, but I wasn’t here this morning because I didn’t get a permission form and I had a boring morning, sharpening pencils.

It looked fun because my friends where telling me how they cooked  it.

This is a example of my sanitarium work it was really awesome doing this, but it was hard to miss out on the experience. Next time I want to make sure that I bring my permission slip in and set myself reminders to get the slip if I've been absent. It can be really hard missing out on the fun!

What is a Cloud Poem

What is a cloud           31/07/2015

The cloud is a candyfloss that taste like candy.

It is floating in the sky with God saying hi and goodbye.

The cloud is everywhere in the world but not space.

It is a soft swishing feeling like a marshmallow saying hey.

The cloud is white as a bucket of the sky and people are happy.

This is an example of my learning that shows me using metaphors and similes, we had to write a poem in class that showed our use of figurative language. I enjoyed making the lines rhyme and I like the part about God. Please comment and leave me feedback. Thank You!
